NDEC has been doing a food drive for the past 11 years. We have donated up to 12,000 pounds of food to the FeedMore food bank in Richmond.
It benefits the Meals on Wheels program for homebound seniors and veterans. They are also responsible for the Backpack program to benefit children that don’t eat outside of school. They can take nutritional and easy to open food home for the weekend. We take the food the day before Thanksgiving. It’s grown so much!
We are also starting a yearly drive for Operation Christmas Child to donate shoeboxes with gifts to Samaritan’s Purse. More to come on that!
